Innuendo are un mesaj puternic, bazat pe schimbarea in timp a mentalitatilor formate, pe depasirea odata si odata a limitei, a barierei create de mintea omului ("we'll trade that fine linem, we'll keep on trying till the end of time").

Trebuie sa iesi din anonimat, sa spargi ritmul monoton al vietii ("be free with your tempo"), sa scapi de cerintele ego-ului tau ("surrender your ego") si sa-ti alegi singur viitorul ("turn yourself into anything you think you could ever be"), pentru a deveni ceea ce vrei cu adevarat sa devii ("you can be anything you want to be").

Trebuie sa luptam cu toate acestea pentru ca avem cu totii un cuvant greu de spus, cel putin atat timp cat va exista Pamantul asa cum il stim: cu soarele ce stapaneste vazduhul ("while the sun hangs in the sky"), cu deserturile inundate de nisipuri ("while desert has sand"), cu valurile ce se izbesc de ocean si ajung sa imbratiseze malurile ("while the waves crash in the sea and meet the land"), cu vantul, stelele si curcubeul, pana si muntii ce sunt presarati pe campii ("while there's a wind and stars and rainbow, till the mountains crumble into the plain").

Aceasta melodie contine un avertisment si o scurta punere in lista a partilor negative ale firii umane: cat timp vom fi intoleranti, judecand rasa, culoarea sau credinta oamenilor ("while we live according to race, color or creed"), cat timp vom conduce prin nebunie oarba si lacomie ("while we rule by blind madness and pure greed"), viata noastra va fi dictata de traditii invechite si de superstitii absurde ("our lives dictated by tradition, superstition").

Trebuie sa gasesti puterea de a zambi, oricat de greu ar fi ("we'll keep on smiling") si, atat timp cat mai exista justitie ("any kind of justice under the sky"), atat timp cat mai exista un motiv de a trai sau de a muri pe aceste pamanturi ("if there's a reason to live or die"), atata timp cat mai poti descoperi raspunsuri la intrebarile tale ("if there's an answer to the questions we feel bound to ask"), sa treci peste teama, pentru a te elibera de aparente inselatoare ("show yourself- destroy our fears, release your mask") si pentru a gasi adevarul.

Melodia incepe cu o baterie vioaie, urmata un ritm lent, apoi de unul dinamic gen latino-dance si se incheie in acelasi ritm cu care a inceput, trecerea facandu-se relativ brusc.

Cu o performanta de invidiat la vremea respectiva (locul 1 in topul UK in 1991), Innuendo s-a mentinut, dar nu numai ca melodie ci si ca... sonerie pe telefonul mobil!
